Hi all newbe with a Smart4u exhaust that keeps triggering the eml lights fault code p0422 any help please

You mean a Smarts4you exhaust? In that case remove that rubbish exhaust and fit the original bock on and problem will be solved.

I wish I could put the original back on but the car didn’t come with it, guess I’ll live with it until a brabus shows up for sale thanks for the quick response

This particular problem used to be tackled by using an extension piece to space the Lambda sensor away from the exhaust stream. Not sure it worked in every instance but that was the method back then - some ten years ago.
