451 cabrio aircon

My aircon cannot be recharged as, according to the garage, when they try to recharge it the gas just hisses out immediately. I cannot recall whether it was the condenser or compressor that needs replacing. Any idea which it would be please? It was about a year ago in the UK that they told me this but as I now live in southern Spain I think I ought to get it fixed before summer!! Would appreciate any advice...many thanks.

Most probably the condenser as it's at the front of the car & open to the elements, ie small stones!
If I was you I'd have it tested by an aircon specialist, as they can put a dye in the system to help trace the leak.
