6 spark plugs

Hi, my Smart is going in for a service next week and the mechanic made an off the cuff remark about the car having 6 spark plugs, surely not??

Yes, there are two plugs per cylinder.

Ask them to show you where all the spark plugs are, and to show you the ones they take out - Also good to know which spark plugs come from which cylinders and which are top and which are bottom.
Helps with diagnosing problems.

What heinkeljb just said. If I remember correctly, in some cases they have to drop the engine slightly to gain access to some of the sparkplugs.
