Big Performance remap for my BRC Xclusive

Just like to give a big thanks to Ian at Big Performance for his remap last Saturday.

He seemed a really nice chap, highly conscientious and the car is now a joy to drive. He thoroughly checked everything before he would consider doing the remap, and he comes highly recommended.

What sort of power have you got now ?

Brilliant isnt he, im tempted to ask him for a more extreme BIG map sometime in the near future, may rebuild my engine first though - oo and suspension... I really do need to give the guy a call sometime soon!

Ian said he expects on average 125 bhp but possibly as much as 133. It's just smoother through the gears and even a pleasure to drive when the engine is cold in the morning. Then there is that extra 'zoom' when overtaking! He even sorted out a slight slippage on the clutch.

He does have a more extreme remap, but that's for the track only.

Nothing numerical to report as I fill the car up every fortnight with about 25 quid of V Power. I don't do that amount of mileage but I'm not filling up more often since the remap, but impossible to tell if the mpg is better than before.

wow is £25 filling your car right up or is that just the amount you put in. my "normal" roady gets to £31 of v-power before the first clicks come, then i wait 30 secs and get to over £32 normally. anyway good to hear its not filling up any more due to the re-map. hows the performance difference?

What remap did you go for from BIG? I heard they kinda vary anythin up to 125hp for the roady?
How much strain would 125hp put on the little braby engine?

Ian fitted a complete spax set-up to my BRC'x' last Friday (15th Feb)....

The car is completely transformed, cornering speed and stability has increased 10-fold, there is no more diving and rolling mid bend, or nose pitching under acceleration....

Speed humps are now even more comfortable....

And yes, had to go for a test drive with Ian afterwards.... THE BEST BIT !!!!

Will post a proper thread / write-up and pictures when I get chance to remove the wheels.....

shh my insurance has said no to suspension mods which kinda puts a spanner in the works for a few months atleast (or until I can find a new insurer..)

Did you scare Ian that badly??
