Does this do anything for the gear changing?

The SW Brabus map, is the smoothest one I could find, which is why I picked that over any other.
it is cheaper too which is a bonus! you can't sniff at a 7.3 seconds to 60 either
Research your options carefully there are plenty of topics around the pro's and cons of each one.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
Neither the snake nor the kat have driven/tested a Big Brabus so are unable to comment impartially on this.
If the Big map wasnt good other companies wouldnt try to borrow/buy it.
Which ever map you go for get the person doing the map give your car a FULL diagnostic first. Some mappers dont have specific smart diagnostics so BEWARE.

My only thoughts to add to this is that £500 is well spent once you've driven the car! Ian worked many hours getting this map right and I am sure he will never fully recoup all of that development time!

just for the sake of an answer... three obviously will be additional strain on the engine by virtue of the fact there is extra power, but the engine should be able to handle it fine. don't panic!

I agree with this, yeah there's more strain, but you can help the car by changing your oil and plugs more often. Plus you're not using all 125bhps all the time, so it's only really putting more strain on at full throttle.

Slightly OT: Out of interest, what does a remapped Brabus Roadie boost to, and how much of the rev range is the boost increased over? Do you raise the rev limiter too?

typically 1.5 is the accepted safe level - though I've seen maps boost higher than this - really need to be careful at that level though.

the SW raises to 6250 - so not much higher than standard - but enough to make it hit 60/62 in 3rd - again, other maps have higher rev limits.

Mine hits 60 in 3rd already
