Doh, recently discovered a leak in my rear nearside light cover. The resultant water ingress caused the contacts in my stop/tail light bulb holder to corrode. In my attempt to clean the contacts, they actually disintegrated and now I have no contacts whatsoever as well as no brake/light on the nearside.

Now I have two questions, is there any fix anyone can suggest and can you buy a new bulbholder or is this going to be an expensive fix?

Dont worry,
The 3 connectors come as a cluster with wireing attached, and an intermediate connector to attach to the main harness. The intermediate connector has a mate behind the rear wing, and you need to bend away the inner wing cover to get your hands on it.
I dont know the price, but it is quite reasonable as I have heard.

I assume that it is the side with the reverse light. Having the reverse light on for longer time heats up the lamp and damages the seals. It is a "known issue". My solution will be a LED replacement bulb.

iirc I paid £19-£20 when i had the same problem, lamp cluster is about £50 so not too expensive either.

Yeah, I think it was £21 including postage when I needed to replace my loom last year
