Was viewing a roadster today and did the vital carpet check behind the seats. The drivers side was really damp but the passenger side wasn't. I know it is not a good sign, but if one side is dry and the other isn't is that still ok? Oh must add the dealer said that it was hand cream that caused it lol

Re: Damp Roadster
The 'vital' leak check on a roadster is under the carpet in the driver's footwell, that's an indication of a possible bulkhead leak.
A leak behind the driver's seat is likely to be roof related, see TR.n leak guides.

Re: Damp Roadster
It's the leak into the driver's side that causes the most problems. If the car works when you buy it (check ALL the electrics), the dealer will give you some sort of warranty, you have a garage to stick it in and don't mind working on it then get it. The guide for checking and sealing the fault is on my452.co.uk
