    Re: Airbag light stays ON

    UPDATE:

While dealing with this issue (at MB Israel),
I've asked them to connect me to the WinStar.
It came up straight away that there's a problem with the aibags.
Just trying to "erase" the fault did NOTHING. it came straight up again each scan.
The guy there put a relay of 3om (R) in the airbag connector and then it was deleted for good...
He then took the relay out of the connector (he said it should revieve 1om and 3 is too much for it).
He scanned it all again and nothing came up any more.
He wanted to replace the airbag connector, because he said it might pop up again while I drive.
I told him "thanks, but no thanks"... I'll drive like this and see... I'm not a milking cow, you know
Drove back home (15km) and everything's O.K, no error lights and nothing... it feels damn great seeing a clear dash, LOL.
If it will pop up again, I'll decide what to do... maybe start searching for a connector from a brake-down or so,
So if anyones hears of such (at a good price), feel free to PM me

Thanks for all the replies and help I got from all of you guys!!
p.s - they took half an hour labor for this issue (~24GBP)... but the heck with it...

Wow their labour rates are low.
Smart of Hertford used to charge £110/hour & that was a couple of years back.
So I think you got a result.

Well 110GBP per hour is incredibly out of proportion!!
Anyways... "labor rates are low"? guess what's the price for parts.
In MB Israel they wanted 80GBP just to connect the car to their computer...
I was "lucky" to get this in 24GBP just after I've replaced the pads for ~56GBP (and another 24GBP for 30 minutes labor).
The total for this theft was 104GBP and believe you me, if it wasn't for the error getting fixed, I would have done the pads alone.

Not sure why you were confused to whether you had side airbags, you can see in your photo that you don't.

They put a fuse accross the connector, for future reference I think it's a 2 ohm (maybe 1.8) resistance for the airbag.

You probably had a cruddy connection that is all.

Maybe it'd be cheaper for you to move to another country?

You wont believe it, but that's a thought me and my wife are considering...
I just got an inheritance and I may also sell some properties (2 apartments).
It may be you just made that comment as a joke, by I'm damn serious about it.
