That code leads me to a problem with the wiring from the Steering Wheel to the ESP Module
I suspect this to be the case, just not got round to checking it yet, I imagine 2 of the wires are for voltage input and the other 2 are for return voltage/signal?
If anyone could verify this I could stick my tester across to check voltage to/from the unit at the plug instead of tracing the wire to the ecu
You can forget the white/black connectors under the dash.
It has nothing to do with the steering angle sensor at all.
All it does is to route the horn signal: to the SAM in case
of no paddle shift, or to the instrument cluster if paddle shift.

That is correct!
I did actually use the white connector for the horn as I had the shift function (the black connector) in a switch on the floor by my foot.
