  • Burnt out N11-1 SAM connector

Been trying to fix my non functioning heater blower motor and whilst the number 1 culprit is a burnt connection on the selector switch
(which I've already changed) another less common known problem is Pin 2 of one of the SAM connectors - I believe that's my problem.

I say 'believe' because I can't pull of the connector to check it! It's not looking good.........

My question is this - someone who is extremely knowledgable about roadsters believes there is a loom repair kit for the connector
in question but a part number is proving elusive.

Does anyone have a part number for either the N11-1 repair kit or failing that, the name/manufacturer for those type of plug connectors?

I know the part number is NOT Q0015415V001 - that is for the slder switch repair loom which has already been replaced (earth burnt out)

P.S it isn't the resistor pack either - a new one was plugged in

      @Kane,

As I have finally resolved the problem I was about to add a footnote to my thread when I noticed your
      comment about me 'helping you'.

I 'm happy to help out any way in can - in fact I have some suggestions for making the repair both
easier, quicker and much more reliable.

Rather than cutting and splicing 8 wires I would recommend opening up the old connecter by prising open
the old connector's flap and lift the small plastic retaining tabs and slide out ALL the pins.

Carefully fit the old pins to the new connector, with the exception of the burnt out pin(s).
These are cut off and the new pin spliced to the old wire

The repair would be even cheaper than the £20 MB charge for the replacement loom if the
SICMA connectors ( and matching crimp pins) directly

So what's the Q000 Part No for this loom?
