  • Fuse 6 blew in heavy rain

    Hello everyone!

I have three problems I hope you can help me with.

    1) Last week I drove 100 miles in heavy rain. No leaks which is good, but suddenly the light in the dash disappeared and when I got home I found fuse 6 was blown and as I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse it blew again as I turned on the light. I have conducted a small trouble shooting, where I disconnected right front parking light, right rear light, dashboard and number plate lights without it solving the problem.

I found the left numberplate light filled with water, but disconnecting the socket did not solve the problem.

What is the next thing I can do to find the error?

    2) When I was troubleshooting I tried taking the light stalk apart to see if that was the issue. As I took it apart I lost the small spring in the stalk - where can I get a new one?
    3) I also took the cruise control stalk apart and since I did that it stopped working. Not even the limiter works.

Thank you for the help it is greatly appreciated!

A clumsy Dane. Keep looking for your spring or buy new parts and get someone properly skilled to fit them. Feel free to visit the Banchory Smart Centre where simple repairs are usually done for the price of a good pint of ale.

Sweep the floor with a magnet - you might get lucky.

No visible leak doesn't mean no leak but check the connections on the top of the fuse box and look for burnt connections.

Checked the fusebox all over and no leaks or burnt connections. Do you know a place I can get the wire diagram of the roadster so I can check all the ends?
