This is most likely to be a cycle valve failure, cheap and easy fix if it is. Do you have a check engine light when it occurs?
Yes I do get engine light. Any more info on how to fix? Thanks
You'll need to fit a replacement cycle valve. The part itself is cheap from a dealer (I paid less then £20 for a replacement relatively recently) and a simple unbolt/unplug/plug/bolt job. However, I suspect the issue is getting to it. I don't have a Roadster but on a 2002 City-Coupe, you would need to remove the rear panels to get to it and it is a little obfuscated by the crash bar.
It's no easier on a Roadster. Best advice is, when you change it, fit some longer pipes and relocate the valve to somewhere more accessible.
That is of course, if it is a Cycle Valve issue, and not a lambda or MAP sensor failing...
As a veteran of 3 cycle valve failures, they have never yet resulted in an engine light for me, nor has restarting the car restored power. Only an ECU reset would get power back.

When mine failed the boost ramped up (noticeable increase in torque) then fell away as limp mode was encountered. Only resetting the ECU brought the power back - only for the cycle to repeat. Note, resetting the ECU will eliminate stored fault codes.
