  • I may be selling my Brabus

I don't know what to do to day I have cleaned and took the Brabus round the block I havent used it for a year now and the year before it had very little use. I have owned it now for 5 years and I still love it but I own several cars and use my supercharged Elise most of the time it's such a shame for my little Brabus to just sit there, so do I sell it or keep it I feel sorry for it just sat there, I could do with the space but that said I have the room, I don't need the cash and so on.
If I do sell what is it worth what would someone pay is anyone interested. There are some good bits all done about a year ago alloys referbed, new Falcon rubber all round, new wiper motor, new alternator and a new battery which has been on an optimal so still as new and it's not bad for its age 68000 miles as for 'the bad bits the canvas on the roof is ok but the mechanism has failed £175, The air con has gone but I think it's just a re gas as I hand the usual pipes done and they are still fine, a couple of scuffs around the paint on the rear arches and to day a new problem the passenger heated seat light is on one led when the ignition is off and won't go out then I unplugged the cable under the seat only that was the air bag one so now the airbag light is on.
Since the last Mobile oil change it has done very little milage and right now I think the mot is out so I either sell it as is or get the airbag light reset and put 12 months mot on it.
The normal leak points bulkhead and wiper tray have been sealed.

So my heart says keep my head say sell and just buy another later on and if I do sell at how much.
    Thanks in advance

I can guarantee you your aircon will need more than "just a regas". If the pipes are intact then £ to a penny the condenser is rotten.

Sounds like your car is going to waste really -and lack of use + roadster = issues usually.

That said, if you're not short of a bob or two and can afford the inevitable lack-of-use repairs needed to keep it running and you want to keep it, then why not.

For the rest of us, having £4k's worth of Brabus sitting around doing nothing is not something most of us can realistically see as tenable. Lucky you if you can allow that sort of money to lie around devaluing and collecting dust! Most of us can only dream of being able to do that...

I think it may need a new home and I suppose I can always get another later which will probably cost me a fortune as they get more rare. Do you think mine is still worth 4k as is or what sort of value do you think I should go for. Thanks
