I'm going to change the oil myself this year which oil is best for the job ?

If you're changing the engine oil , the recommended stuff for the roady is usually Mobil 1 , fully synth (that's what the factory recommended afaik)

Assuming you are referring to engine oil, any MB229.5 certified oil.
My choice is Mobil 1 0W/40 as it's cheap in Costco.

Mobil 1 it is then, shame there isn't any Costco out here in Germany but thanks again

I use the cheapest Lidl oil. So far so good after only 209k.
