Alternator Fourtwo/Roadster?

What is the difference between a alternator for a Fourtwo and a Roadster?
My son has my old Roadster 2004 and he is not driving during the winther and the last few years he has had increasing problems with a stuck alternator and now it seems to finally have broken. it keeps being very tough to turn. He just sent me a picture of the alternator. It looks broken.
I have a alternator in my garage bu I think it is from a Fourtwo so I would like to know a bit about the differences.

The original alternator isn't available any more and they can be very fussy about aftermarket ones. Evilution lists a handful known to work: https://www.evilution.co.uk/mod/road...tor-change.htm

We have sucseeded in changing the alternator and it works.

There is one thing I would like to ask about.
The connector with the thicker cable is a bit tired and I don't think it is original.
