    Re: Morrisons Petrol

With regard to Morrissons/Texaco petrol, I have always steered clear of filling up at a texaco station, as previous cars have always run much worse on it.
From old 4star in my old first car (mg metro) to unleaded in more recent cars I have owned.

      Re: Morrisons Petrol

The reason some say not to run the beefy stuff all the time is that some people believe the concentration of detergents and cleaning agents in the optimax/ultimate families is pretty high. It doesnt bother me too much, I have used optimax for every tank for the last 8 months and I have to say my car's quite happy! One time I had to put supermarket fuel in a no-optimax-withing-remaining-fuel-range emergency an the car ran rough as a badger's proverbial.

I just stick whatever's cheapest in the area in mine, can't say I've noticed any difference between any of the fuels I've put in it, tried Sainsbury's super... waste of money... Not tried tesco 99 yet, but the 103.9p price tag is putting me off a bit... I'll stick with Shell boring 95 (usually the cheapest in my area).
