i think its getting a bit of a joke now doing this points thing....what ever happened to stick and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me? are we turning into a nanny site coz a few words or posts where made? if u don't like the posts then don't read them or even better don't reply to them...we are a adult community and adult words or what ever, happens in this world so face upto it if you cant join them just beat them....

no, gives the mods something to do though and some more paperwork and red tape to wade through, maybe someone can go into business marketing special points-based-infraction calculators too

Yes, I think it IS needed. There has been some really nasty stuff posted recentley... I will not go into details.. threats to physically damage people, boasting of ridiculous behaviour... mad swearing BEYOND a joke.

It just seems a tad OTT what was wrong with reporting posts and letting the mods/admin take a decission.

Its all got too much. We may be scaring valuable new members away, and certainly are shocking/annoying present members!

A lot of the chat I am talking about belongs down the pub at after several pints, at midnight with other gung-ho (trying not to swear!) ....people.

Yes, I have had two 24 hour bans from maniacs but no one seems to know anything about them.
I have also managed to pick up 2 points in the first day for post number 19 on this thread.

how you get points for post 19? i dont see anything wrong with it, dont you still have that screenshot where your name isnt on the members list ?
