Not sure why, but I can only successfully login if I click 'remember me', I'm not on my pc and just wanted temp login, tried it yesterday and I got the welcome you've logged in screen but when the forum came back up - no cigar, I was locked out.

What internet Browser are you using?

Not had any issues on Firefox myself with log on etc (Firefox 8.0)

The search function is (I think) very much slower than before. Just a remark.

I can't say I have experienced this, but there are somethings we can do to speedd this up, so I'll investigate

Smartmaniacs is a community which relies on its members to make it what it is. Some members help make that community, others seem hell bent on spoiling it for everyone else. Which are you? Now in all my time on here, I have been Mr Grumpy, I have a dry, sarcastic and dark sense of humour. I try not to populate my posts with this dark humour but sometimes the opportunity arises to have a little fun. Nothing more is/was intended.

If you really think there is an issue, we can go on to PM to discuss it.

Back on topic

I have a few log in issues yet on Firefox but I find that clicking on forum after logging in and appearing to be logged out again shows me as logged in. I'm coping with the workaround.

what about officehelpers.co.uk? or windows7users.co.uk? do you get the same with them?

nope - same issue with those 2 ways in and nothing working on IE.

I have tried www.smartmanaics.co.uk and also gone through google!

I am using chrome on the laptop and safari on my phone

Chrome recently did an update which has thrown a few spanners in the works and safari probably could do with an update! Maybe the site has surpassed my browsers

I can only find 2 references to this on the web, and they both point to browser or dns issues.

yup - work was ok (logged on) and iphone on 3G service was fine.
