no idea what that is but typed it into the run box and a screen flashed up for under 1/2 second and went but still same issues!

proxy site just hides ip addresses - eg. hidemyass.com

cleaning out temp files and cookies was first thing i did

Can you log in via a different PC/location without the proxy?

yup - work was ok (logged on) and iphone on 3G service was fine.

can you install and try a different browser at home?
I can only find 2 references to this on the web, and they both point to browser or dns issues.

I have tried www.smartmanaics.co.uk and also gone through google!

I am using chrome on the laptop and safari on my phone

Chrome recently did an update which has thrown a few spanners in the works and safari probably could do with an update! Maybe the site has surpassed my browsers

The search function is (I think) very much slower than before. Just a remark.

nope - same issue with those 2 ways in and nothing working on IE.

I have a few log in issues yet on Firefox but I find that clicking on forum after logging in and appearing to be logged out again shows me as logged in. I'm coping with the workaround.

I can't say I have experienced this, but there are somethings we can do to speedd this up, so I'll investigate

Not had any issues on Firefox myself with log on etc (Firefox 8.0)
