When you click "New Posts" (i.e. takes you to http://smartmaniacs.co.uk/search.php?searchid=980) it shows more than just the new posts since the last login. (I think there used to be a divider message?)

This is (sadly) a well documented omission from this version of the forum software - it has been flagged as a 'bug' but is actually completely missing functionality.
I absolutely agree it was useful.
The alternative solution is to use "Today's Posts" under the quick links.... not ideal, but will do a similar thing.

I clicked on "Mark Forum Read" and next time I came back in New Posts are just new posts
