Not sure why, but I can only successfully login if I click 'remember me', I'm not on my pc and just wanted temp login, tried it yesterday and I got the welcome you've logged in screen but when the forum came back up - no cigar, I was locked out.

What internet Browser are you using?

sign in three times name appears at bottom but can not access

Logon query

When logging on to the forum since the change over of the system if I type my in my user name and password I am greeted and welcomed and then infomed to view the forum I need to log on. Do the same thing but tick the keep me logged in box I still get the unlisted Welcome to the updated smartmaniacs message but when changing to different page it then shows me as logged in.
Do I need to change something on my pc or is there a bug ?

we're working on it -
clear your cookies first but I find just clicking on forum when it logs you out logs you back in again and then you're sorted.

update - i notice i can also access the site via the google chrome incognito window (which i guess is also a proxy server functionality) but still not via the normal route.

all other forums i can access in the normal way

James, this issue of yours is really odd we've not had it with anyone else... It must be a local/browser/router setting which just isn't present on the proxies. Can you add the site to a white-list?
What do you see when it doesn't work? Just a white page? A 404 error?


Re: the other login issues, the reponse from vb is that it is a known bug and the solution is to refresh (press F5) once it returns you to the login page.
Doesn't sound like a good solution to me! So we'll keep on it

Clear your old bookmark for this site, then when you have logged in save a new one.

The site works fine for me on whatever browser I use.

Make sure you are NOT using an old bookmark.

We are working on it as Messy says.
Seams to be a quirk apparently.

I think I just get a \"page unavailable\" message (after it trying to load for 5mins)

No worries though guys - it\'s not hampering my browsing enjoyment really

What's going on with your posts? you using some other font or some such?


Have you tried ipconfig /flushdns ?

I don\'t know! It\'s something to do with the proxy! It adds a / in everytime I use a symbol!

I did that but nothing happened - that I could tell!

Deleted cookies etc.
