Figured it out.
Why no avatars for some people?

Don't know, I've checked the usersettings, and registered users can upload custom avatars.... I've also 'rebuilt' the Avatar thumbnails, but that doesn't seem to have done anything either.
I'll have a more in depth look at the settings to see if I have missed anything :S

Yep, spotted that too If you hadn't mentioned the today part - I'd have believed I just failed to notice it yesterday!

Am I missing something (or has this been asked already) but the ability/option to go straight to the last page of a thread appears lost?

Just noticed today, if I click 'quote', and reduce the quotation to the relevant bit, then add my comment below, it will let me backtrack in my comment to put in another letter or spelling correction (as normal), but when I type the letter it goes in at the end of what I have written so far (not normal).

Not sure I understand?(test) I've deleted a line of your quote, added in this bit of text, then what? click back earlier in this comment and add in more text?

Which is what I did with the (test) comment up there? or have I missed the scenario?

To correct spelling, I have to remove my comment back to the spelling error, and then retype it all again.

This does not happen if just replying as normal, without edited 'quote'. (I am on Windows 7 and Chrome browser)

Yesterday if you clicked the last posters name it would go to the last post (instead of their profile as you would expect)... however today I see the return of the small double arrow to take you to the last post - so this should be ok now.

select page number of thread at top (like bottom)? instead of the Page [1] of 4 [<][>] as i don't find this useful at all

yup.... unless you scroll to the bottom of the page.

I love the fact the quick reply allows you to flick back through different pages of threads without losing what you have written

morning just testing - I can post from the pc but not using tapatalk - have logged out and back in to both TT and the site but still I get "post error " and have lost the "unread " option that I had on tapatalk - neither are any biggy but just thought I would let you know

lol, yeah I was looking at that too, does seem a bit rubbish.
It's not valuable real-estate so will leave it there for now... if we find it's still just as rubbish as it appears to be, we (can probably!) disable it later.

Im not too keen on the large post listing,

We will be doing some new templates, but at the top of each topic you have an option of "Posts" or "Latest Activity".
If you select "Latest Activity", it will change the view into a 'stream', with the original post at the top, and the latest replies (newest first) after that.
I'm not sure if that helps in the mean while?

There are restrictions on the type of code you use, number of images, and number of lines.
For card holders it's 5 lines I think, 1 image and 1000 characters including code.
Disabled code includes PHP & HTML links - as these have been abused in the past.
