Also, the forum layout is too much stretched out vertically with lots of unused empty space.
If you are referring to the page I land on when first entering site, I agree. It looks like a government form to begin with before scrolling down to find the real forum. Which has a fresh look to it.

I don't get it?
Can you take a screenshot for me? as when I enter the site, the forums are the first thing on the screen.
In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."
Well if this continues on this forum I'm outta here ! This website is now just loading adverts, I have virus scanned my laptop twice and entered lots of other sites without any issues today. But as soon as I click on this forum I get advert windows automatically loading, asking me to upgrade to this and that, virus pc and free downloads checks etc.
How to ruin a forum IMHO
Every time you enter a different thread or forum page an advert for Flashplayer, or Virus scanner etc etc pops up, do you have a virus on the forum encoding ??????
Tried the site on Windows 7 Unit, iMac with Maverick and MacBook Air with Snow Leopard, and nothing is showing up.
As RacingSnake says, any screenshots would be very useful to help try and find it.

Honestly, I think you need to malware/adware scan your own pc.
But I'll raise it for David to look at anyway.
And whilst I like constructive feedback, you can refrain from the "How to ruin a forum" comments - they really don't help!

Apologies one of my children has used my computer to download some video stuff for a college project, cleaned, scanned and updated without finding anything three times but the adverts keep cropping up.
So annoyed because they know not to use my laptop because I use it for work and they have three other computers between them !

Beneath the black line which contains the word 'sections' the following words appear in individual lines widely separated and filling the page:
New Topics
Member List
Forum
Todays Birthdays
Latest Topics
Tag Clouds
Then, scrolling down, the forum begins with 'The Cars'.
If you need a screenshot, tell me how to and I'll post one.
A problem I'm having is if I misspell a word and click the cursor mid word to correct, whatever I type appears at the end of the word, ie I cannot edit a word.
One other thing I've noticed is on going to the last page, not all of it is there. Go back one page then forward and the missing post(s) is/are there. Perhaps applies to own posts only.
Your comment on the click mid-word was mentioned on here by someone else - I can't replicate this which makes it difficult to track down! but I'll give it a go!!.
I'll have a look at the spacing - I've made the side wider to reduce the line wrapping where possible.
In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Yeah, something is not right, I don't see it like this :| I don't have the word "sections" either? what browser are you using? and are you using any plug-ins on it? (like an ad blocker)

Thrumbleux, what browser are you using?
I remember having that issue on Safari ages ago on a different website (actually one of the control panels i use for the hosting stuff), but its not happened for a very long time.
If i mistype a word i can click and go back and it lets me edit in word.
If anyone is having any issues, screenshots or a short video capture of the issue if you can really does help rectify it
