  • How to post a screenshot?
    Depends what OS you use
Windows, usually, shift and print screen
Then go to word or paint then paste.

Mac: Press the Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3 all at the same time
It then appears on your desktop

After that you can upload it using the attatchment option in the top right of this reply box.

    • Google Chrome and the only plug-in I'm aware of is Shockwave which keeps crashing anyway. The page appearance is the same crashed or not though.
You mention ad-blocker. Are there ads on the forum? I can't see any.

NB. On this post I can edit words. Anything to do with posts containing quoted posts?

      • There are ads at the bottom for those who are not supporters (the very bottom and out of the way)

Ads on some pages but not all. Spotted a BMW one high up on a page.
Attempted uploading attachment with opening page screenshot.Has it worked?
Mid click thing affecting this post (with quote). Mid word click and I can backspace out the offending letter but entering its replacement sees it appear at the word's end.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Tolsen, can you post up a screenshot of your screen please?

Thrumbleux's viewing issue is due to the low resolution making the webpage huge and tripping into 'mobile' view - this is a computer/browser issue - (though I will try to think of alternatives to make the experience a bit better!!)

                • Reduced sorts out the problem as discussed but when reading posts the screen is then under-utilised width ways. Something that can be addressed or for the viewer to find best compromise?
Suspect if Tolsen does the Ctrl minus' his vertical stacking will reduce.'

When you click on a post, it should then fill up the whole width, this 'reduced' front screen is only reduced because of the tag cloud, birthday module and 'latest topics'.
Now I can remove these to maximise that front screen, but once you're in a topic it won't make a difference?

I have stretched the overall width of the site to always fill 95% of your screenspace, which should get rid of the big margins, but keen to make it as usable and readable as possible!

                      !
                      It does, but not hugely.
At the large setting where/when the main page stacks vertically the onscreen width on my laptop of a post (the white between the grey margins)is 255mm. One click of Ctrl minus sets main page to horizontally correct and a post is then 240mm.
Viewer's choce as to how to configure? I'd settle for that.
Editing still a PITA. Witness (well you can't!) missing I in choice I can't get back in.

                      • Yeah, I've posted a question to vbulletin about the editing, so far no response - I 'suspect' it's something to do with Chrome, as both you and Colsmart have reported that and you're both using chrome.
I can't make a setting to force your browser to display smaller (sadly), my obvious statement would be to change your display settings to something like a minimum 1024 x 768, unless there is some reason why your resolution is set so low? - Ironically, my laptop won't actually allow me to set below 1024x768, so I have to replicate your issue by zooming in to 200%

                        • Thrumb - the crashing of shock wave happens all the time with me too - nothing to do with this site though. And this mobile site is doing my head in. Can't punch and zoom to see pics (like the one posted by RS just now. Not a fan. Help?!? JJ

                            • Perhaps this might have already been noted but when I posted in the 450 forum earlier, on it still said that problemchilds post (from 1:28am on the 01.05.2014) was the newest one in that forum, despite several posts coming in later than that. I can only imagine its a job/process not running correctly in the background to update to show the newest post correctly if the page doesn't already query the DB for it when it loads.

Having said that, it could just be my browser being weird but then again, I've just flushed my cache and it hasn't updated.

If you browse the forum, the posts are ordered by date/time correctly, its just the index page being odd.

                                Ditto.
I'm having difficulty navigating to find new posts. I'm prepared to believe at least half my difficulties lie in my ineptitude and I'll get used to the new layout, but there is some other glitch re identifying threads with fresh posts as Ocracoke says.
