Because Merc aren't interested in smarts, and their labour rates are double. Bit of a no-brainer really.

Rhd, i always use indies btw. I always get a better service, a bit more personal too

Sorry, i meant my indie dealer, i never go to a main Smart dealer, totally trust my indie dealer, good prices and good banter with them, top fellas (just edited my prev message to stop any confusion)

OK, I've found a place where i can source the bass bins & tweeters. I know that the current speakers are rather rubbish. Any recommendations as to what aftermarket speakers can fit into the bass bins? If im going to spend cash on the fitting i may as well upgrade the speakers as well

There should be component bass speakers (which fit in the bins) supplied as part of the sound pack.

Ordered all the bits from Dennis @ smart parts direct & getting the nice guys Surrey Smart Centre to fit it all. Cant wait!
