i notice the seller has listed them as 'marble' but its scratch black effect i think.

also last week this guy had a load of random smart stuff. hope that helps.
    Thanks for that, Gary

I set up a daily search on ebay but obviously used 'scratch black' as part of the search criteria, so no wonder I missed out seeing 'marble black'

The seller says they have 'the very light wear you would expect on a car that has covered 10,000 miles'. Don't want to be too picky but I'm not sure you should expect any real wear on door panels other than maybe car park door-opening 'damage' and I believe the plastic panels are rather robust in those circumstances.

You cant respray Numeric Blue pannels ! ! !

These pannels are not made any more and you will be able to sell then on for more than a plain colur set I am sure! I would certainly expect there to be a reasonable demand for them.

just looking around again, and the same seller has got a 'tailgate panel'

again with it listed as marble.

only problem you are after cab panels, this one seems to be from a coupe (so the keyhole is centred, not on the left)

although saying that i guess you could use some of the panels this guy offers and find the rest somewhere...

Yes, I spotted the tailgate panel too. Hoping some more bits pop up! I'm going to see if they can give me bit more information about the state of the door panels - it's been mentioned to me that as these are coupe doors, and mine's a cabrio, they may not fit. Is this right? I assumed it would just be the tailgate section that is different.

Oh, and I agree it would be a travesty to resprays numeric panels. I had my stream greens resprayed and have more than a tinge of regret.

Coupe and Cabrio pannels are diffrent I am affriad. The ones on eBay are Coupe ones :frown:

The Cabrio has a outward 'line/crease' along the door pannel about 1/3 down adn a smaller indented 'line/crease' about 1/2 way down. On the coupe the line 1/3 down is totaly missing and the 1/2 way down line has the indent set in a 'bump' if that makes sense. Those ebay pannels just wont work I am affriad.

                Back to square one again . . . .

PS : At least they still make Stream green pannels.

I'm just going to have to take your word for it, I've read that five times now and the cold that I've got is making my head refuse to process the information. Getting those new panels is looking more attractive.

I am actualy wrong here    The creaseing is perhaps the same on both the Coupe and Cab models

I shall find out for you if the doors fit though.

Why the change of heart?? I'd have agreed with you the first time. because the cab's crease continues onto the trid - and this just isn't there on a coupe!.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

It is on my Coupe (Mk5). I think they changed it on the facelift but it's a bit ambiguios I think. the way I discribed it.

been doing a bit of research and it seems Taraxacum was right the first time.

                          Mk5 & 7 coupes have the 'bump', cabrio doesn't.
