I agree with you steve although it sounds quite alot they are only minor and you can live with them. But it would be better without them being a problem.

Sorry guys, this is wrong of me but my boyfriend has a new mini + its sweet! We fit four or more people in it all the time, admittedly we are both short and whoever sits in the back has to fold themselves up but hey, its all fun! He got it cheap because it had been in a crash and the person had new for old insurance, it was a matter of weeks old. But you are right it is still not as cute as a smart but its a close thing in my opinion
Tell you what else would be nice, steering wheel controls for the stereo. Yes I know it's hardly a reach but the volume button on my Radio Cassette is incredibly sensitive. That and I am lazy!!
Oh and wide wheels as standard (have read that the new Fortwo Pulse will have 175 and 195s as standard). Since changing to 175 and 195s the car is a totally different beast. The steeringis more progressive, the handling is improved and you don't get caught so much in the ruts on roads and motorways. Oh and it doesn't get affected so much by wind.
A handle for the glass bit of the door would be nice as well. It would make getting into the boot a bit easier. Have seen them advertised but not sure how strong they are.
I think I'm on a roll here:
Xenon headlights as an option as although the standard lights are good I would like more (plus I like headlight washers!)
Radar Cruise Control - Since using normal Cruise Control in mine it's amazing how people vary in speed on clear motorways!!!
wider tyres, fourthed or whatever it is, then as standard, they could up the limiter to about 95?(not that i would travel that fast on the uk highways anyway!!)
I keep frogetting the Audio equipment, why is it so poo poor?Even in Euroboxes these days a CD player and some half decent speakers are the Norm.i dont mind having to pay for a CD autochanger, but am a bit miffed that i have to pay extra for decent sound reproduction! Not into ICE but do like to hear whats on the CD?Casette.Radio seems to be ok bit tinny, but the casette sounds like some thing you get from a Christmas cracker,For whatever Deity you Pray to'Sake my Austin 1100 push button radio is better!!!Buck up Smart, decent sound reproduction should be standard!!!Tightwads
i agree having two tiny speakers hiden behind a plstic barrier is wrong! the sound upgrade that you have to purchase now was as standard on oll smarts up untill about mk4 or 5 i think but smart thought they could make a few more pennies out of us! paying for a cdplayer isnt too bad but i agree!
Yes the heater is rubbish, - Arthur never got warm on the commute to work today - but that's the price you pay for an efficient engine that doesn't waste a lot of petrol as heat. If you want to warm the car up quickly, keep it in a low gear so it's using the turbo. I got an electric fan heater that plugs into the cig lighter: absolutely rubbish, worse than useless. It makes a lot of noise and doesn't do anything.
As for the front windscreen heater, if Ford have the patents for putting wires across the screen, why can't Smart put the electric heating element over the demisting fans so it can blow warm air straight away?
The one thing I would change if I could would be the noisy fans. Does anyone know if it's easy to change them?
How about a speed selector panel, it could be quite slim and descrete, with a row of buttons 20-70 in 10 mph increments to use in addition to cruise and limiter modes rather than twiddling the stalk, I should have thought this would be easy to integrate into the comfort pack.
How about interior lights that stay on long enough for you to find your handbag when it is dark.Better yet a way to adjust the timeing so that I can make them stay on just that little bit longer.
Oh and the pathetic duck quack of a horn.
