I picked up my shiny new Passion on friday from Tamworth. Neil Woolley came in on his day off to hand it over ! free mats (without asking) but sadly no requested CD holder. I am getting that today complete with a refund (for the CD holder not the car !)

I too bought my car from Neil at Taworth. No problems at all. Its nice to buy a car from someone who knows what he's talking about.

I brought Poppy from Smart of Lincoln with no problems at all.

They were great, very helpful. Even down to wanting to pick the car up 3 days after I brought it was'nt a problem with them.

I have to say that Smart of Bristol is the worst dealer ever! I bought a smart pure in Dec 03 and i ordered a jack black pure and it turned up a River silver pure! To add insult to injury i was told if i wanted it black I had to pay £220.00 for it to be CHANGED!!!!! Also, i was told it had 12 miles on the clock, when in fact it had 111 miles on it, and to top it all it had deep scratches down the tridon. I was not a happy bunny! They told me they'd 'buff' out the scratches and they re-sprayed it with out me knowing. And if that isn't bad enough...in jan 04 my smarties paint started to PEEL! Before i bought my smartie i booked a test drive, i arrived with 5 mins to spare and I was still waiting 2hrs later to drive one! Their terrible for keeping you waiting...i was waiting 2hrs just to be told they'd phone me when my car was ready for collecting, their lucky i didnt key a merc!!

For a long time I would have sung the praises of Smart manchester, having sold us two cars and servicing all three. However I would have to admit that theyre phone skills unless selling cars was appauling.

Upon colecting mine and the pink smart from Manchester I tried to roganise my MoT, and was told I needed to wait for parts and then I could organise it. 6 weeks later and no phone call, my Dad rings back to find they have no record of ordering the parts, and that they no longer MoT or service on site - they moved it to the MB dealership.

So ring up the MB dealers to find that two different people say they do and they dont do servicing and MoTs. Confused and now irate we cut our losses and attachments with Manchester.

We look to our next nearest Smart dealer, Wolverhampton. Ecpecting nothing after our last experience we were glady welcomed into wolverhampton and all went smoothly untill...

It appears that my car wont pass its MoT on various things wiper blades, discs , pads , rear lights , the list went on. Funny that it was only serviced two months ago!!

I realise that my speedo head cant be ordered as there is a back log, but one cant but doubt their keeness for pursueing the matter.

So neither of my experiences with a Smart Garage have been friutful, Wolverhampton has to be said to have a good parts department but appauling customer service.

But I have to go back for my Speedo head so we shall see whether anything has changed.

                        DD

I would have to say for the South East it has to be the Surrey Smart Centre. They are great for parts and reasonably priced and always go out of their way to help.
                          Check out the Website www.surreysmartcentre.co.uk
I dealt with a guy called Jason and he is very friendly and helpful, you will be amazed to see some of their custom jobs!!!

Their website looks cool and the custom cars look great. Not so impressed with their prices though. Everything is plus VAT and A Services starting at £145 +VAT seems very expensive to me.

Anybody know where I can get a C service in surrey without having to sell my kidney?? I would like to do the work myself but really want to get my ECU checked out. Do I really have to pay someone to "Check the windscreen wipers" and "Change the battery in the Car Key".
