anyone try to install wiring for cruise controll on smart not pre-wired model?

I like to know if someone has experience to install the wiring for cruise controll (between wiper switch and SAM unit) on smart which not pre-wired

soon I can do activation the cruise control myself without smart center
also will be possible program SAM-unit my self

From which YM is it possible to install/activate CC?
Is it possible on a 2000 4-2?

From 2003. The Smart must have a SAM unit, not a Zee.
You can still install a cruise control on an older Smart with a Zee unit but it will cost more. Go to misterdotcom and check it out.

I did this myself on our Roadster which was missing the wiring. I bought the wiring "kit" from SPD (http://www.smart-parts-direct.co.uk/ - search for "cruise control" and you will find the kit) and followed the evilution instructions to install the wiring (lower half of this page: http://www.evilution.co.uk/337).

Now I'm a DIY disaster area, but even I managed to do this job in about an hour!

Took to smart, and had it TAN'd - worked first time.
