My tractor had a puny small petrol battery fitted, so when the latest cold snap happened I was bump starting in black ice

Priced a 065 sized battery with 540amps at Halfrauds today

i bought one earlier off the web which came with a delivered price , think it is £38 for a smart city car ! think it came from performance batteries? and then turned up the next day!

Why don't you have one of those portable battery packs, saves having to bump start a car wihich doesn't really like being bump started.

Then atleast you are not tied to the length of an extension cable.

The problem with them is three starts max before you need to recharge.

Batteries are suffering from the high price of lead a few months back....... back in Sept I bought 2 063's one for Neilo#s car and one for my father in laws. I paid £25 each + VAT with 3 year warranties...... Yesterday I bought an 063 for another car and the best price was from Halfrauds with a trade card at 37 + VAT and I shopped around too!

Lead rocketed earlier in the year, now were paying for it!

the 063 should be cheap it is the most common battery used in british cars - in their defence the Halfords standard battery is one of the best!

Vauxhall dealers normally do batteries for all makes, and theyre at good prices too.
