try make my life alot easier instead of trial and error.

i wouldnt like to guarantee colours, the factories used whatever was spare, ive seen different cable colours for same items all the time

When I used to work for Sextons it was just finding a good live and creating a good earth, the rest was plain simple

Will a basic alarm work on these cars? well the newer ones which I know have CAN BUS wiring?

I'm thinking about a very basic alarm which has 3 wires, 2 go to the battery and the third would go to the interior light so at least it would sound if the doors or boot were opened. I'm not sure if linking in to the courtesy light wiring would cause problems or damage to a CAN BUS run system, anyone know for sure?
