Help! All brake lights are out!

i have a smart pure and have recently noticed that all my 3 brake lights are out:frown: coincidence??

however the reverse adnd indicator lights still work!

any ideas? or is it easier to go straight to the garage?

it must be a 454 or 451 . as 450 or 452 requires the brake swtich to put to reverse.

There are 2 sides to a 450/452 brake light switch, one for the lights one for the gearbox!

As Kate said, the brake switch is a 2 part design. Both parts don't necessarily die together.

Just had exactly the same fault!:frown:
Replaced the switch (£12.33 + vat) & all working again. Easy enough to do, but my electrical connector was a really tight fit so needed to be carefully prised out.
Don't worry that the new switch looks slightly different & is white, it's just a revised design, I queried this & found it fitted & worked fine. :goodlk:
