  • Sound right?

    Hey all,

My Smart is coming up to it's first B service. It's a 2007 450 Fortwo Passion with 7,350 miles. Rung my local Smart dealer (Smart Of Belfast) and they quoted £350 for a b service - does this sound right?

    :wag:
Although it does depend on the scope of what they are going to do outside of the B like brake fluid change etc. but for a B on it's own it's sounds about twice as much as it should be.
It is only plugs, air and oil filter and oil after all

What's it doing having a B at 7000miles, don't you do much miles in it ?

trouble, you of all people should know servicing is once per year or 9000 miles, whichever comes soonest. A 2007 would be on its second service in 2009

Hum, I'm thinking the same thing but no other choice.

The first owner had only done just over 7,000 miles in two years and I have just put over 350miles on it since I got it. With the first B service being at 18k? Or 2 years depending on what's soonest, my smart is telling me it's due its service at 7,900 miles..

Just making conversation:p whilst I stop laughing at the cost of that B

Yes Reedy , it needs a yearly service regardless of whether you achieve the mileage or not.

I got quoted that for a roadster B service (minus plug change) by Smart of Bolton a couple of years ago, needless to say i've never been back!!!

As Taz said, see an indie, there may be one in northern ireland, and Taz has made a suggestion, but try to make sure wherever you take it has a good reputation regarding smarts (ie they wont under/overfill the oil etc)
