  • Pattern parts, Should I or Should NOT?

Well, was searchin ebay for something, and run across this thing: front Stabilisers

Is it worth to save money, and buy pattern parts? Have you tried the unnamed brands ever? I usually but pattern wheel bearings and ball joints (only because I can't get the original ones back home, or only for a fortune +an arm and a leg)

What do you thing about that, and what experiences you had in that?

Particularly me, I went for moog balljoints, and they're still alright (apart from the other ones fitted) And the bearings are running as well (don't remember the name though) but it is twice cheaper, so more affordable.

I can understand that you prefer to buy genuine or very high quality parts, because of the cost of the labour, but however?!

quite often, pattern parts come from the same factory with a different stamp on it.
I can't comment on the ball joints, but would have no issues in using them.

In retrospect, I suppose "supercalafragalisticexpialadocious" wasn't a great "safe word..."

Like RS had said just use what you can afford, Plus they still do the same without the hefty price tag.

Here's the link from evils site:

It's what I'd sent to Evil when I'd done one on my wishbones on prev smart.

I've used pattern brake parts, water pumps, clutches and an alternator in the past..... all are ok, the clutches are always SACHS and only have the MB part number missing, they are identical and much cheaper, about £125 from GSF right now!
