  • Brake judder

I've started to get a vibration through the steering wheel when I brake hard, Any idea what it could be? I'm leaning towards a warped disc, It' a 599cc 53 plate cabby 4-2

change pads and discs for best results, the discs are probably knackered looking like a small mountain relief map

sup to you and your wallet

Standard patterns from places like G&S
        originals from smart (smartypartfast.co.uk)
Specials (grooved and drilled etc) from most of the indy sponsors listed at the top right corner of the page.

The mileage is irrelevent really and just points to how the car is driven.

If your standards have lasted 27k you don't need to upgrade, just replace with equivalent ones. A decent motor factor can source them for you and you can fit them yourself or get any garage to do it. £100 all in easily as long as you stay away from anything or anyone associated with a Smart dealer!

Whilst you or the mechanic are there, check that the calipers are moving freely too.
