Well I've had a quote for £283 to get these parts sprayed from a local car body shop ..... seems prohibitive to me!

I'm considering wrapping them myself ... ala:

I assume a bit of wet'n'dry will get the panels smoothed out to ensure the vinyl sticks properly?

      Any thoughts are welcome!

      Cheers

I was under the impression that vinyl stuck better onto paint.

If you wanted tot get the car wrapped, they couldn't guarantee the work on an unpainted surface.

Do some research but I was told this by a reputable business who do it for a living.

If spraying I would think you should expect to pay £40 to £50 per part.

Hmmm I see .... although I guess if it was sprayed with filler primer and then sanded down, the surface would have the texture of paint?

The company has just given me a special deal of £250 for the three parts ...... it's still rather a lot!

            *mulls*

            Cheers

i would say £250 would be a fair price .... as long as they do a proper job and a nice finish... at the end of the day, if its a good bodyshop, well known and you have seen there work ,then its worth it.. people pay silly money for sevices etc , which is a trust thing , how do you know what they have done, you carnt see it !. but when it comes to paintwork, everyone wants it dead cheap , or say mmmm i will have ago myself... carnt understand them , its the bits you see, surely you want it right.
