Wheel trims dont fit?

I bought these (pictured) to fit my Fortwo which is on Roadster Steel Wheels. However, they dont seem to fit! The problem appears to be nowhere for the centre part to clip in to. Unless I'm missing something really elementary. Can anyone advise or should I send them back?

That's because they're for fortwo steels, roadster steels are deeper and there were never trims made for them AFAIK.

True, but these are only the half-covers, which hang onto the bolts, instead of clipping onto the rims - so should really still fit.

Do they need the black centre triangles or do they clip onto the rim?

the black centre triangles are themselves a 'third' style of wheel trim

Mate, I had the hammer out and just as I was poised to take a bash, I saw this

So it looks like I may have the wrong wheel bolts. Anybody got 12 spare of the right ones?

that thread does exactly what I said to you... they clip under the bolts.
I don't think you have the wrong bolts mate - they seemed okay when we did the a/c belt

AH! In that case I will have another crack tonight (without hammer) and call you when I'm safe and snug in my warm garage. Maybe I wasnt putting the right effort in last night in the cold

my roadster had those fitted to it when I had a set of steels! From the factory!

They're a very hard push fit!
