            Re: Ethanol conversion

having seen MANY Jaguar cars fitted with LPG conversions that dont run as smoothly on gas as they would on petrol, and the amount of O2 sensors that one owner had to change was scary!
i know Ethanol is diffrent to LPG but its still the fact that things may not go all that well!

LPG or any gas conversion is a COMPLETELY different story!
It have bad cooling cababilities as well as poor energy content, lowering the power out from the engine.
In addition it is eating up the catalyst quicker than gasoline or ethanol.
And even with a new catalyst, the emissions are worse than on gasoline even (formaldehydes).

Ethanol is burning cooler, without smoke/particles at all, and overall is a more kind fuel to the engine.
As addition the efficiency and emissions are improved.
In Sweden it is also saving money, but it could be better as it was before the oilcompanies started to see a real threat to their own gasoline business, and raised the prices.
              Still cheaper though.

My worked fine with 60kw injectors on a 45kw engine. But You also need some devise for the cold start.

Yep. I think also one step up is suitable.
coldstart will be in the new ECU :-)
