i sould have really made myself clear.
your going to have to buy the tool to suck the oil out which will cost arround £10-£50 depending on what you get, then your going to buy the sump with the drain plug, so the oil sucker is going to be gathering cob webs, and will be money wasted.

Maybe for the 1st service but I agree with the above. I'll be fitting a new sump pan and I'll just puncture the old one.

We (Smartmods.co.uk) should be selling a sump pan with drain plug very shortly. As always, it'll be better designed than the others you can buy and it'll be cheaper. Currently working on a nice little twist on the design which should make it much easier to fit.

Hi & to the mad world of Smart.
Here are a couple of places that sell the sump with a drain plug. I personally haven't seen one in the flesh, but if you click the photo in the link it gives a close-up shot & it looks quite well modified.:goodlk:

    After Market Sumps

Just got my first Smart ForTwo and have been looking at the replacement sumps which include a drain plug. :newbie:
Has anyone fitted one, I am concerned with how much thread is a available for the drain plug?
