  • First Smart Service: Croydon

    Hello,

My service light has just come on and my first service is therefore due.

I have a Smart FourTwo Passion, it's the second one I have bought from my dealership.

My previous Smart was serviced at my local garage, but this time round I was told I needed to bring it back to the dealership, who will naturally charge a lot more money.

I am confused, as I thought the law had changed and I could go anywhere now as long as my book is stamped? Please help!

Is your fortwo on finance? If so, dealer only servicing is now part of the finance agreement (their way of getting around the change in rules)
