Well recommended full B service for £130 including genuine parts.

They where changed plus other work.
He is a fully trained mechanic, a neighbour so if any car goes wrong he is easy to find

No offence and I hope you have have found a good one - but there have been plenty of other "fully qualified/trained" mechanics who have serviced smarts with mineral or semi-synthetic oil, and only changed 3 plugs.

Hence our skepticisim!

Most of the propper smart specialists charge around £200 for a B service.

I now how much a B service is I had one last year as well as a timeing chain done bye Masterec cost £800.
There is only 3 companies that I trust with my Smart, Mcsmarts, Wellsmart and David.If he was no good I wouldn`t have posted on here.

Skeptics can cost businesses work. Where in Hampshire are you the reason for asking is I am coming down to Basingstoke this weekend for a friends wedding and if you want why not come and check out his work on my car.

Thanks for the offer but I'm not sure what the point is in looking at an engine that's been serviced. Nor have I anything more than a passing interest as I rarely have need to visit the northwest.
