        Re: smartarse design

You can do a diy service at home easily, I don't know anyone with a vehicle lift at home.

Induction hose in the wrong place, surely that's a matter or opinion.
Clutch is loose? a clutch adjustment is part of the service.

If SAD say one thing and SRU say another why are you so certain that one is right and one is wrong?

SAD in Watford does have a vehicle lift (waiting to be installed).

            Re: smartarse design

The guys at SAD are absolutely amazing!! I am so glad I found them. I am located in the United States and Mike has been an enourmous help. I am always amazed at how much info they can pass on. In addition, they have been able to assist me with everything thing I have wanted to perform on the car since there is no one in the US that can. My biggest venture to date will be sending my ECU across the pond for a remap. Augusto has things all ready and will perform as close to a custom remap as possible without having the car there. They are also shipping me a bigger turbo and janspeed exhaust. I honestly can't believe how great the service is I get from these guys. They are absolutely the best in my book!

              Re: smartarse design

Just got back from an A service for my forfour, and I can't fault them! The only issue was they changed the wipers with a set without a spoiler, so I got them to put the old set back on. Apart from that, service was excellent, and chatting with Rob was interesting.

Just buy a shorter one with a spoiler, it doesnt make a lot of different to the view out but it will to your pocket

                    Re: smartarse design

I popped to halfords and got a spoiler one after visiting SAD, I figured if smart wanted it to have a spoiler on the wiper, there must be a sound reason for it.

Which just bolsters the bloggers post about SAD.

Why haven't they got it installed yet? Is the owner worried that Watford is too good already and trying to knobble Rob by not supplying the most basic equipment before the workshop even opened.

I propose a whip round to pay for the instalation of the lift which they already have (mainly just to shame the Murphy bros into getting it done like they should have done years ago), it would help Rob a lot and I can't imagine how many people he has helped.

Very happy with my Oil plus service (451 turbo, 1 year old)

Came in well under half what the dealer wanted, attentive above and beyond the basics service.

Definitely going to be my local rather than the dealer!

Their name cropped up at the last DAFT meet -their reputation precedes them!

They are a tadge pricy but everyone is of the opinion you are definately getting what you pay for
