    Re: Top gear

To be honest, what else other than a 'versatile' interior did TG have to look at in the ForFour? Although, it's not as clever as a Honda Jazz's.

I'm sure it was a fine wee car, but did it bring anything new and revolutionary to the shopping hatchback scene?

I'd bet that Vauxhall would have been delighted for the Meriva to have received such publicity.

      Re: Top gear

Um the engine performance, more on it's performance compared to other super mini's:
The forfour would of won hands down compared to the fiesta, 206, polo at the time.

I think Top Gear reviewed the forfour allright, they did the Handleing test on the go kart track and they said they liked how it handled.
They said how attractive it was to look at too.

One thing they did mention that i don't agree on is that they said it didn't handle motorways for a long period of time too well, probarly due to the rough ride don't know, but i certainly don't agree on that. I find mine handles motorways very well compared to my old fiesta.

I think they would of had more love for it if they hadn't been forced to stay in it for 24 hours. That was kinda stupid lol but funny. It's like if you've been imprisioned in a cell or a car for 24 hours, would you be in a hurry to go out and buy one/ get in one again.

The ending was a bit rubbish too, but their was so much more they could of told us about the forfour and if they compared it with the softouch one, they would of noticed how much fun it is to kick down on accelerater with no worries. They could of reviewed the Brabus forfour aswell With the 0-62 time being around 6.4 seconds.
Top Gear rules! Just think smart would of sold more forfours if James and Richard didn't say to the camara that they wouldn't buy one (because 24 hours is a long time to stay imprisoned in one)
Lets hope they give a good review of the 2014 version

Dunno, the roadster being TG's "fun car of the year" didn't salvage it...

Just switched to BBC hd and saw Clarkson putting black tape on his jeans. How on earth does that pass for entertainment. I must be from a different planet.

And yet, people watch endless repeats of Friends, because, apparently, that is also 'entertainment'!!
I'm sure you watch stuff on TV that I think is absolute bollox, but you wouldn't miss it.
That is the beauty of having an off button on the TV. If you don't like it - don't watch it!!

                Re: Top gear

No point really. Like the previous poster advised I shall use the off button. I suppose to be honest this comes shortly after paying £145.50 for this years tv licence. It would be a criminal offence for me not to pay my share of Clarkson's pay packet. It's nice to know he's hitting the spot somewhere though.

Apparently millions watch Gavin & Stacey and think it's funny, I've passed more humorous stools myself.

Entertainment touches us all in different ways!

                      Re: Top gear

oh no - its just dawned on me.................all humans are different!! holy carp!! how will we survive

basil....what happened was that he forgot his trousers and his jeans were not suitable for driving a 4 seater porsche (even though the car looked like a plate of sick) so what he had to do was make them look better!! for some reason he carries a roll of black duct tape with him and he used this to colour his jeans!! where his "brilliant" plan fell down and the REALLY funny bit of this staged event was where his now sticky legs became attached to each other. this meant he had to waddle like a duck!! oh how we laughed!!

it all worked out in the end though because all 3 cars are total sh!t and shouldn't have ever been designed!! buy a 911 turbo and a ford sierra estate for £200 - the end!!

i will now remove my tongue from my cheek and return to what i do best - keeping an eye out for the little blobs that race across the inside of your eyelids
