stop reading it then...... you must be a fan of jilly cooper novels too
oh yeah - the whole smart brand is engineered specifically as an affordable car to carry a case of beer (i may be para phrasing but can't be arsed to find it again) so basically......for people with not much money and who like beer......... students and alcoholics then - hahaha!!

Expanding on that idea....
The Roadster is basically a modified ForTwo...chopped, stretched and lowered (so for the purists among you it is technically no longer a Smart), designed for those who want to get their crate of beer quicker...albeit a smaller crate as there's not that much room in it.....And the ForFour is a Smartsubishi for people who have more than 1 friend that they can take with them to get loads of crates of beer in and not have the tops blow off of when they go over any speed bumps......LOL
Ahh, Budweiser, where have you been all my life
*Mitch Drinks that.
*Looks in fridge... Shouts upstairs to sleeping wife.
Just popping out love to buy a few crates of beer!
*Slams door. Starts smart. Drives off.

so what your saying is the forfour is a 'party smart' G?

yet again a typical statement from someone who only ever saw the Top Gear potato tray comments about roadsters - you can fit a beer crate in one - in the other boot!
I'm surprised forfour owners have any friends - because they seem to spend all their time on forums defending their (quite good, but too small, overpriced when new, etc.) choice of transport. (irony alert!)

I willhave to get the grinder out and wait till Anne gets home in the CDI. Then I can make myself a new Roadster. Cool, thanks for the well thought out, helpful and reasoned comment.

haha - I understood the comment, which is quite accurate - the roadster shares many of its components with the fortwo - of course, the roadster is better, more fuel efficient, faster, better looking, etc. It would actually have sold better as a Mercedes rather than as a smart!
