Makes you wonder...what happened to all those cars???......I still see a few of them every now and again(), but where's that great looking Purple Roadie, and some of the other stunning looking fortwos?....Have they just dissappeared?
Meanwhile, edging back to topic....Didn't see any for fours there though!!
My mates LT SUGAR car us on there and he only recently sold his as it was costing him a fortune to keep on the road!
Probably why you don't see many of them as the peak for srus was late 90's to early 2000's and many of the fortwos and roadsters have also started falling apart.... also why there are no forfours..... Too early for them
BUT - there is the stunning one Kate used to have and the stunning metallic green one that Robert owns plus there are a few wrapped ones around (it's easier and cheaper to wrap the forfour as the door skins are v difficult, front isn't as simple as fortwo)
Taking panels off a fortwo is still easier than a forfour!
I think srus used to offer to paint a panel set up for you and then just took your own panels off and replaced with the custom painted ones and keep your ones to spray for the next customer
Wellsmart used to charge a fair amount just to remove the panels on the forfour!

Yeah...I remember LT Sugars car.....light metallic blue one, saw it a couple of times around Nottingham.
'Peak' for sRu....late 90's?????????? Hardly, since the smart wasn't made until 1998, and not officially brought to the UK in LHD until 2000!!!......A LOT of there 'Star Cars' (mine included) were created around 2002/2003.....but scroll through their pictures and you will some far more recent ones including 451's......which unless I'm VERY mistaken....weren't made until long AFTER the for fours demise!!!!
....and why should the early cars have 'started falling apart'?????? If all the people who originally commissioned the cars had looked after them, there's no reason why they shouldn't all be around somewhere!!!
Well you know what I meant....the fact that it is no longer in production!
Kates for four did look stunning in it's pink paintwork......not so impressed with the colour that replaced it (looks far too like a standard colour!)...and yes there are others that have had a few 'custom' touches to them...but IMO the forfour doesn't get the same level of mods as possible on a lot of fortwos,(and roadsters) because they are bought as more 'normal' cars....and people tend to keep 'em that way!
If there were proper off the shelf tuning parts for the Forfour cdi, my car would be fully modded by now.
I'd like to see a decent exhaust system, a front mounted intercooler kit and a proper fully adjustable suspension package. Brakes and maps are out there, but you still can't buy a rollcage off the shelf. It's good that a lot of Colt parts fit the Forfour, which has the backing of Ralliart. Also lots of other cars share the 114.5mm PCD, so lots of wheel options to choose from. The car is strong and light and a perfect base for a quick car, either petrol or diesel.
