the fit is hit and miss and 50% of people we supply them to remove them
within 6 months as they find them a pain strapped to the steering wheel
I can see your point.
They can move if they are not mounted in the right place and insufficient brute force is applied
when you tighten the mounting strap -but the 'right place' may well give you an inconsistent
IR link to the HU.
The last HU was awful (always missing signals) but my new HU works very single time
not a lot of functions , not to mention that app radio is all about the touch
Whilst you are right - it is all about the touch - how much of that functionality is
actually safe to use on the move?
Touch screens are definately less distracting than the various controls on a typical HU
but it is still distracting to a significant degree...
My remote allows me to change (with both hands always on the wheel and my full attention on the road)
input source
cycle up and down through the files in the source (SD card, Ipod)
cycle through tracks in an individual file
Volume
Radio Band
Accept and end calls
Select Phone's address book screen
and 4 quick touches of the screen will select and call any number stored in my phone.
I still contend that any more functionality than that is not required and possibly dangerous
(plus pioneer site does not say it supports the remote)
That one suprises me a little, but It's your line of business so you are better informed than me.
Pioneer don't often miss the chance to sell you an optional extra
That looks like the ForFour promo I put up on YouTube years ago.
I love the look & idea of these gadgets, but I havn't even got a smart phone or even an I-pod so waste of time for me.
Loved my Internet radio on the drie to s2smarts today - didn't lose signal at all and it played lovely summery music all the way there and back and via the tyre place
has also got one of these head units , nice they are too , the thing i think pioneer have let themselves down with is not supplying a cradle for the iphone to make the complete package , the head unit is the mutts nuts though !
Agreed - I have bought so many cradle type things and pass through systems that I just end up dumping the phone in the cup holder.
Having an issue with aupeo! interne radio at the moment and contacted aupeo! technical team who were very grateful for bringin the glitch to their attention.
I never use the "iPod" of the head unit because of how hard it is to navigate but the pioneer media app rocks!
