As you all know, a few weeks ago I traded up (note the phrase, traded up) from an astra to a forfour and it took a few trips for me to adjust...
Well 1 tankful of petrol on and it would seem I now consider it a permanent car for a couple of years, perhaps more depending on the following:
I did get it checked out by a mechanic as the cabin Zeppelin noise initially freaked me out, but he gave it the all clear which made a lot happier know g it was safe.
The inside however has not been well loved. Although there are no tears, the backs of the front seats have gauges and scrapes like I've never seen before, and things like gearstick (auto)' door handles, door panels are all looking very worn.
So here's the thing... I want to enjoy the car, but as we all know it's hard to bond when the inside looks so tired. I understand that because of the airbags, seat covers aren't a good idea so I accept that a good scrub will have to do.
For the backs of the from seats and panels etc I was considering vinyl carbon film, perhaps in White, to brighten it up and as a contrast to the black material seats, I was also considering repainting the handles, and pods in White as well
What do you think? Is it an easy job, it certainly fits my budget and accessories seem really hard to come by without spending loads of money
Are the pods easy to remove? would it look rubbish?
Comments as always, are much appreciated
