Hi - Help needed please on a 2001 598cc Pulse ForTwo
Whether stationary or moving, at just over 2,500 constant rpm's, the trust plus light comes on and you lose power. A quick flick of the ignition key reset it till the next time.
Took it to SMART dealer in Edinburgh, £200 later told no fault codes stored and should change the rear drive shafts for £450.
Changed the rear reluctor rings for £35, cleaned and tested the ABS sensors, disconnected the battery for 20 seconds several times, all to no avail.
As I can replicate the Trust+ light coming on and loss of power whole stationary, ruled out the yaw sensor. Had a plug fitted anyway, which I've tested with it in and out of the fuse socket.
Searched through similar past posts, but none concluded what the fix was.
Has anyone got any idea what I can try next? The car, which I look after for a charity, has had this fault now for 10 months, and pulling my hair out with it. Runs perfectly normally between incidents, however the volunteers rightly have no confidence in using it.
Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
