Oldgit. WHat did you do to rectify. Did you remove & dry out or replace with a new fuse box?

        Hi angieickle1

I've still got this problem and decided to live with it for now. MB were a waste of time and wanted to start part swapping, went to see Sam @ McSmart, nice guy took a look and said it needed an engine rebuild as he suspects it was dropping compression on a cylinder. The value of the car versus the cost of these works didn't make sense, so decided to continue to use for now. I have noticed it doesn't cut out as much in the winter as summer, but now it is back to once or twice a day, when you sit at roughly 2,500rpm. I try and avoid hovering around 2,500rpm's... not a great solution.

        Hope you have better luck.

          Hi

I'm not sure if it's the same thing as I've not noticed that rpm is up. But I'll watch out next time it happens. I've just been a bit scared to drive it in case it happens and doesn't start again.
I'm really not sure what it is and I'm scared to ignore it in case it makes the car worse but I just don't have money for expensive investigations or repairs and hoped I could check the basics first so that when I take it into a garage I can say I've eliminated a few of the faults it could be.
I've noticed a lot of people are saying to go to McSmarts but it's a bit of a distance to drive a car I'm a bit afraid of.

          Thanks
          Angela
