Now, from today I allways get 9 quick flashes and the car wont unlock.
I can get in to the car but I can't inactivate the imobilizer.
Is there any trick to get the car started so I can come home tonight?

New battery in the key - isn't that what the 9 flashes signify?

I have swapped the battery between the 2 keys (for the two cars).
It seems 9 fjashes also indicates bad comunication between the key and the car.

          The spare works!
So I am home with one working key.
Now Do I have to re-sync both keys or is it possible to re-sync only the one that is not working?

I think you'll find both keys & car have to be programmed together, so they are all singing from the same hymn sheet, so to speak.

              That's what I expected.
Now I just need a instruction on how to use my equipment.

Can't help you with that. I don't know if there is anything on www.evilution.co.uk about that?

Help with that will depend on whether or not you've got a TAN code calculator or a setup which has been modified to do this automatically but in essence the procedure is the same.
I've had a couple of cars which were a bit strange in that after completing the procedure, the keys wouldn't work. But, a battery disconnect for a few minutes sorted it without recoding.

All keys must be done same time as already pointed out by Mr T.

Have you read the previous entries in this thread?

                      I have a TAN-code generator.

Have both keys ready with new batteries

                        Connect star diagnostics to car
                        Select Smart
                        Select model
                        Select identification by control unit
                        Select systems
                        Select engine ecu
                        Select control unit adaptations
                        Select imobilizer
                        Select teach in key again

                        Follow on- screen instructions

When you get a row of boxes with numbers and letters, feed these into your TAN code generator - this will give you another sequence of numbers and letters to feed back into star.
It may take you a few attempts to get it right as you must follow the on-screen instructions exactly and it can take a bit of practice to get the two quick presses of the key button on each key in relation to the flashing led on the emergency triangle.
I usually try locking and unlocking the car from within after coding to check as well as checking that the N shows in the display.

I have tried the second to last digit with both 0 and O it still gives the message below.

Go back again and get it to request another code number - it's likely to be a different number to the previous one.
This should create a new code in the generator which may not have an o or a 0
I have come across this in the past and it took me much longer than you to realise that the O and the 0 look the same!

                              Thanks
That helps getting the spirit back.
